Pan Ams IBJJF 2023 - New generation crowned In Kissimmee

The IBJJF Pan Championship 2023 took place from March 22nd to 26th, 2023 at the Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, and as per usual,  gathered the elite of gi-jiu-jitsu in one venue for the #2 most important tournament of the federation’s international circuit.

Some of the most famous fighters such as Nicolas Meregali, Tainan Dalpra, Gabi Pecanha, Erich Muniz and Adam Wardzinski brought a show to the arena. But also a new generation of champions was crowned on the colored belts.

Rafael Silveira, from Atos HQ with a sublime performance was the middleweight champion on the brown belt and now looks forward to pursuing his third World title. AOJ prodigy Cole Abate also displayed a great Jiu Jitsu submitting 4 of 5 opponents to become the lightweight brown belt champion. Despite a great performance by Rayron Gracie, the crown on the brown belt went to Nicholas Maglicic, double gold winning the super heavy title and the open division.

Between the girls, Giovana Jara was the queen on the brown belt and got double gold after winning her matches by submission without suffering any point in her weight division. Beatriz Gutierrez won double gold on the purple belt after 8 tough matches with bigger opponents. We could not forget Eliza Nascimento, the queen of the blue belt, where she won 9 fights by submission to become double gold.

Eduardo Alves, from Alliance, was the king on the blue belt winning double gold and displaying a great jiu jitsu either on bottom or top game. In the purple belt, Rafael Borges won the middleweight and the open division with an amazing choke in the finals.

Let's keep our eyes on the young prodigies and wait for the next chapter.
